Helping Hands Moving and Maids started in 2006 with a simple idea: Utah deserved a moving company people could depend on.
While managing a storage facility in Cottonwood Heights, Utah, founder Cody Sleater regularly saw customers who needed help moving their belongings in and out of storage. After work, he began lending a Helping Hand.
What started as a side job quickly revealed a much bigger need. Customers shared stories of movers who didn’t show up, poor communication, unexpected problems, and moving experiences that were far more stressful than they needed to be.
Cody believed there was a better way to do it.
Helping Hands was built around a straightforward philosophy: show up, work hard, treat people and their belongings with respect, and earn a customer for life.
Twenty years later, that philosophy still guides our company.
