Moving Service Rates

Helping Hands Moving and Maids and its employees reserve the rights to refuse services to potential customers if we deem a property is unsafe or puts us at risk in any way. We value the safety of our employees, and we take all precautions necessary to give our employees a safe working environment. We also reserve the right to alter reservations based on working conditions, ending and beginning locations of first and second jobs, and environments to make the move more efficient and keep guys safe and limit the amount of physical demand on their bodies. (i.e. Weather, huge homes, more work than originally expected, multiple level apartment and condo moves, pianos, safes, hot tubs, pool tables) We offer industry-wide standard moving insurance at .60 cents per pound. Exclusions and limitations apply to some items. Your move isn't 100 % covered unless you purchase an insurance coverage option with movinginsurance.com. The paperwork we bring out with us on the day of your move has these same instructions and you will be given the choice to go to the website and purchase more coverage or just go with the standard industry wide coverage.

Damages: Although our moving staff will be as careful as possible, from time to time damages may occur. We do not cover your items 100% without you purchasing an additional insurance plan. Our company provides Basic Liability Coverage at $0.60 per pound (standard industrywide) of the item being moved or additional options can be found at www.movinginsurance.com. The $0.60 per pound is automatically included in the moving rates discussed. If you want to purchase full coverage or additional coverage, it needs to be done prior to the move. If you want full coverage please purchase it prior to move for added peace of mind.

Uncovered Items: China, Antiques, Glass, Clocks, Glassware, Lamps, Marble/Granite, Mirrors, Pictures, IKEA furniture, Artwork, Flat Panel Televisions that are not in their original packaging, or any other fragile articles that are not packed and unpacked by Helping Hands Moving will only be moved at the owner’s risk. Because the mechanical condition of electronics and appliances is unknown. We only assume responsibility for items which are mishandled or receive visible damage by our staff. We are not responsible for unprotected flooring. If due to an inherent weakness in a piece of furniture (I.E. defect, prior repair, unstable construction) a damage occurs, you understand that we will not be liable for any damage(s) to that piece.

Helping Hands Moving and Maids policy in regards to particle board/ready-to-assemble furniture: (ikea furniture) We will move them as safely and carefully as possible but, these items are not structurally created to be moved once assembled. We will not repair or replace these items in the event they are damaged during the move.

Helping Hands Moving and Maids is only responsible for items in our immediate care. Helping Hands Moving and Maids assumes no responsibility for money, jewelry, or other valuables, please make sure these items are safely put away before our moving crew arrives. Please inspect all goods before signing the release section of the contract. Please call for more information and a list of items not covered on standard moving insurance. Additional moving insurance can be purchased through www.movinginsurance.com, but must be done before your move date to obtain coverage. Helping Hands Moving and Maids requires 48 hours to cancel any weekday move Monday-Thursday and requires 72 hours for weekend moves Friday-Sunday. If we are not given proper cancellation/change time we will charge a small fee. Please contact Helping Hands Moving and Maids with any questions regarding our cancelation policy.
