MOVING SUPPLIES & PACKING TIPS

Start with items you use the least. Label boxes by room and contents. Change your address and begin organizing important documents.

Label both the top and sides of each box so you can identify it when boxes are stacked. Consider numbering boxes and using different colors for different rooms.

Take photos of electronic connections before disconnecting cables. Keep furniture hardware in labeled bags and keep those bags with the corresponding furniture.

Use appropriate packing material around fragile belongings and avoid leaving excessive empty space inside boxes. Plates generally travel better when packed vertically with adequate cushioning.

Keep medications, identification, important documents, chargers, toiletries, keys and other necessities with you rather than loading them deep inside the moving truck.

If you’re doing your own packing, have boxes packed, sealed and labeled before the crew arrives. The more prepared everything is, the more efficiently your movers can begin loading.
